Who am I ?

Elena Ion decided to dedicate her career teaching Pilates since she started practicing the method and experienced all the increasing benefits it offers. As her Mantra goes “Pilates is my Happy Hour”, she decided to share her experience and started an education training of the Pilates movement Principles. She is a licensed Pilates Instructor since 2013 from Balanced Body, Inc. Teaching on the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac-Trapeze, Chair & Barrel, she integrates Yoga Poses and became the creator of YogaLates Brussels. 

Her other passion goes to playing the piano, she started her first lesson at the age of 6 at the Music Academy in Antwerp. Philosophy and personnel development are other topics she created an interest for, and started an education training in 2015 of Psychosomatic Healing at l’Ecole de BelÂme in Liège.

Pilates develops the body uniformely, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.

Core: Yes. Your core is the main focus of this workout.

Legs: Yes. You’ll use your upper legs to help engage your core.

Glutes: Yes. You’ll use your glutes as you work on moves that stabilize your core.

Back: Yes. This workout focuses on stabilizing and strengthening your back as you strengthen your abs.

 

Type

Flexibility: Yes. The exercises in a Pilates workout will boost your flexibility and joint mobility.

Please communicate in advance any back or body injuries, scoliosis or osteoporosis in order to target properly the exact exercise intensity YOU need.
